Summary:
Selencia Enterprise is seeking a Budget/Financial Analyst to join our team to evaluate processes, and technology initiative for our clients’ operations. The Budget/Financial Analyst, working independently or as part of a contractor team, will evaluate and solve the agency’s business challenges, specifically in support of clints mission by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing information. The Budget/Financial Analyst will prepare reports summarizing findings and present analysis to clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Analyze financial data and generate reports to assist senior executives in making decisions.
· Develop analytical methods and tools to evaluate and integrate data from various sources to assess and recommend solutions to assigned problems.
· Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. Prepare and present reports on progress, performance, and outcomes to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Use performance data to inform strategic adjustments and continuous improvement efforts.
· Monitor organizational spending to ensure that it is within budget
· Prepare financial reports, internal management reports, and external regulatory reports
· Identify areas for performance improvements and more efficient business practices
· Providing monthly status reports of collections, costs and anticipated carryover balances
· Provide end of year funding and annual analysis to close out fiscal year
· Conducting reconciliations of accounts and analyzing data to ensure accurate billing
· Monitor disbursements and research problems to identify issues and recommend corrections
· Research complex accounting issues and errors to find solutions
· Generate ad-hoc reports for senior leadership summarizing budgetary status
· Build relationships across the organization and become a trusted advisor to senior government leadership
Qualifications
Average education and experience level equivalent to BS or BA degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience formulating budgets for a federal agency; advocating and securing funding.
Proven computer skills and accounting systems software experience.
Oral and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills and ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner.
Ability to identify and correct problems.
Analytical and reasoning ability.
Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
